What does Invesco's Claude connector let advisers do?

Invesco is working with Anthropic to put its model portfolios inside Claude, the asset manager said Tuesday. A new Invesco connector will let financial advisers who use its portfolios view that data directly within Claude for Financial Advisors.

Anthropic launched the adviser tool in September as part of a push into finance that began in May. The product hooks Claude into the portfolio, research and planning tools that advisers already use, and Invesco's connector adds to that setup.

Advisers get more than portfolio data through the link. Invesco is also offering its research on how advisers can run and grow their firms, along with a referral program that comes with ready-made scripts. Advisers can use Invesco's ready-built portfolios or work with the firm to build custom ones.

Clint Harris, who runs Invesco's solutions and custom strategies unit, said the company was pleased with the arrangement. "We are excited to roll out Claude-connectivity, which will allow existing model advisors to have greater access," he said.

Is Invesco's Claude tool investment advice?

Invesco was careful to set limits on the tool. The firm said it is for education only and does not constitute investment advice. It also warned that AI answers may be wrong or out of date and must be checked before anyone relies on them.

Which other software firms added Claude links for advisers?

Invesco is not alone in plugging into Claude. CAIS, Conquest and FINNY, which make software for advisers, added their own Claude links this week, according to WealthManagement.com. Those moves came a day after Anthropic filed for its initial public offering.

Anthropic faces competition in the market for AI tools aimed at financial professionals. London-based MDOTM, whose AI platform is used by Morgan Stanley and Amundi, raised $27 million in July.
