New Ceramic Versions Refresh Oura Ring 4 Lineup
After roughly a year on the market, Oura’s fourth‑generation smart ring is receiving a style upgrade. The company announced a version of the Ring 4 clad in Zirconia Ceramic, a material chosen for its durability and the ability to embed color deep within the surface. The ceramic model comes in four distinct hues—Cloud (white), Midnight (dark blue), Petal (pink) and Tide (pale green)—and is priced at $499.
The ceramic coating is marketed as highly resistant to everyday wear. Because the hue is part of the material rather than a surface finish, scratches and bumps are less likely to be visible. The company notes that the ceramic is robust enough that accidental damage is unlikely unless a user deliberately attempts to break it. The only minor concern mentioned is dye from other objects potentially wicking onto the surface, a problem Oura says can be easily wiped away.
Travel‑Friendly Charging Case Arrives
Responding to user feedback about the inconvenience of carrying a standard charger while traveling, Oura introduced its first dedicated charging case for the Ring 4. The clamshell‑style case is only slightly larger than the existing charger and houses a battery capable of delivering up to five full charges to the ring. Integrated LEDs on the side of the case indicate how many charges remain when the ring is not in the case, while a set of switches shows the ring’s charge level during charging.
The charging case is sold as an accessory for $99, providing a portable power solution for users who prefer a minimalist travel setup.
Multi‑Ring Support Simplifies Data Management
Alongside the hardware updates, Oura announced Multi‑Ring Support, a software feature that allows users to switch between multiple Ring 4 devices without disrupting data continuity. The feature automatically syncs health metrics from whatever ring is currently being worn, ensuring that users’ health data remains up to date even as they change rings to match different outfits.
Health Panel Blood Test Expands Oura’s Wellness Services
Beyond wearables, Oura is stepping further into preventative health by offering a Health Panels blood test priced at $99. The test, conducted at Quest Diagnostics clinics, screens more than 50 markers for early signs of health concerns. Results are delivered through the Oura app and cover areas such as metabolic health, blood sugar levels, and liver and kidney function.
After the lab analysis, Oura’s AI‑driven Oura Advisor provides personalized recommendations based on the biomarker results, helping users take informed steps toward better health.
