Can SoundCloud users publish ElevenLabs AI music directly?
SoundCloud users can now publish AI-generated music made with ElevenLabs straight to the platform, without downloading the files from ElevenLabs and uploading them again. ElevenLabs announced the integration Thursday. As part of the deal, SoundCloud Artist Pro subscribers will receive three months of ElevenMusic Pro at no cost. Songs published from ElevenLabs to SoundCloud will be labeled as AI-generated.
What does ElevenMusic Pro include for SoundCloud artists?
The free subscription gives artists access to a tool with generous limits. ElevenMusic Pro lets users generate up to 1,000 songs a month, split song stem files 500 times, and create five custom styles or vocals per month.
ElevenLabs, an audio AI company, released its first music-generation model in 2025. In April 2026 it followed up with a consumer app that creates songs from text prompts. A month later, it released a new music model that can switch genres in the middle of a track and handle more complex vocals. The company said users have created more than 25 million tracks with its models so far.
SoundCloud CEO Eliah Seton framed the partnership as a way to expand where artists can take their work. "SoundCloud has always been a place where artists experiment, push boundaries, and turn creative ideas into something bigger," Seton said in a statement. "By becoming the first platform to bring ElevenMusic creations directly to fans beyond its own ecosystem, we're opening up new possibilities for artists to experiment, share their work, and build an audience."
SoundCloud has been offering AI tools to artists too, but its approach differs from the ElevenLabs deal. Earlier this year, the platform partnered with Moises, an AI music tooling company, to let artists move songs back and forth between Moises and SoundCloud. That integration goes further. Users can pull tracks from SoundCloud into Moises for stem separation and remixing, then republish the results to SoundCloud. SoundCloud also has integrations with Google Flow Music and Hook, a music remix platform.
Does SoundCloud label AI-generated music?
SoundCloud has generally been more open to AI-generated music than other streaming services. The company encourages users subject to European Union rules to label tracks as "AI-generated or manipulated," and it prohibits impersonation. At the same time, it has signed on several generative AI music platforms. SoundCloud has also stayed away from public announcements touting how many spammy AI tracks it has removed or how many it has demonetized.
ElevenLabs has a separate deal with Spotify. Under that arrangement, authors can use ElevenLabs audio models to generate narrations for their audiobooks and publish them on the streaming service. Spotify has signed partnerships with record labels for products that let people use AI to remix tracks, but it has not yet announced a model partner like ElevenLabs.
Across the industry, streaming platforms are focusing more on labeling AI music and helping listeners filter it out, especially as the technology gains traction with musicians. Deezer is introducing a toggle that lets users filter out AI-generated music entirely. Bandcamp has banned AI-generated tracks outright. Spotify and YouTube have taken a more cautious approach to labeling.
