Uvi, a startup that feeds company knowledge to AI agents, has emerged from stealth with $7.5 million in seed funding. CT Innovations and Cardumen led the round, with Mana VC, 91 Ventures and Gaingles VC also taking part. The company plans to use the money to build a team in the United States, grow sales and keep developing its product.
The problem Uvi is targeting, according to the company, is simple. Every AI agent a business uses starts with no knowledge of that business. The information it needs is spread across different tools. A decision might begin in a Slack thread, move to a Jira ticket and end up in code.
Uvi’s software links those pieces together so agents built on models such as Claude, Gemini and GPT can see what was decided and the reasoning behind it. The platform connects to Slack, Jira, Confluence, codebases, coding sessions and meeting notes. Employees see only the information they already have permission to access, and every answer includes its original source, the company said.
Because the knowledge lives outside any single model, a company can switch models without having each new one relearn its operations, Uvi said.
The company also ran a test on the same model. In its tests, agents built by companies themselves cost about eight times as much and took more than twice as long to respond. Uvi put the cost per answer at $0.75 to $1.41 for those agents, compared with $0.10 to $0.16 for its own.
“Today, the conversation has shifted to cost and tokens. But as companies move into more complex agentic workloads, the real bottleneck becomes speed,” said Gilad Salinger, Uvi’s chief executive and cofounder.
Uvi is already used by Lemonade, monday.com and Melio, the payments company that accounting group Xero bought for $2.5 billion last year.
Gwen Cheni, who runs CT Innovations’ Venture IQ Fund, said many large companies have already tried to solve the same problem. “Every enterprise we talk to has already spent a year and a real budget trying to build context-at-scale, and most are still very far away,” she said.
