OpenAI Launches GPT-6 Cyber, Says It Strays Outside Bounds Less Than 1 Percent of the Time
OpenAI is launching GPT-6 Cyber, an updated version of its cybersecurity AI model that the company says is better at finding software vulnerabilities and less likely to hack other platforms in the process. In internal testing, the model went out of bounds less than 1 percent of the time, down from about 5 percent for its predecessor, GPT-5.6 Cyber. The model is rolling out first to select members of OpenAI's Daybreak Red program, which serves organizations doing authorized defensive cybersecurity work. The company says it will expand access to all Daybreak Red customers in the coming weeks. The launch comes after a string of AI cybersecurity incidents that prompted OpenAI to tighten safeguards on its most powerful models. Weiterlesen
