Google announced at its I/O conference that the Android command‑line interface has reached version 1.0 and is now stable. The new tool gives AI coding assistants—such as Claude Code, OpenAI’s Codex, Google’s Antigravity and Gemini—direct access to Android Studio’s knowledge base through an “android studio” command, letting them generate apps regardless of the developer’s chosen platform. Google also revealed that its Antigravity platform will bundle the CLI, providing agents with the core capabilities needed for Android development.
