Meta unveiled Muse Spark, its first AI model from the Superintelligence Labs, as the new default experience across the Meta AI app and website in the United States. The multimodal chatbot can generate text, images, video and even audio, handling complex constraints while staying socially fluent. Google Maps has begun using its Gemini AI model to suggest captions for photos that users share on the service. The feature, now live on iOS in the U.S., automatically generates a short description of an uploaded image, which contributors can accept, edit, or discard. Google says the tool will ease the effort of adding context to the billions of pictures that power the map, and it plans to extend the capability to Android and additional languages in the coming months.
